Lining the main entry to Southern Hills Hospital are tall palms accented with a variety of stone slabs. The slabs follow the size of the trees towering above and provide for a unique driving experience. The slabs are divided by small ground covering plants.
The entry leads you to the front of the hospital which contains a roundabout filled with a variety of plants and plant sizes. Palms extend vertically matching the tall building in their background. The shrub planters are laid out with more tightly aligned stone slabs giving the roundabout depth and interest. Water efficient yet lush plants add color and texture to the space.
Viewed from the recovery rooms on the upper floors, the landscape is arranged into various patterns designed to aid in the healing process. The patterns move and swirl through the landscape planters at the base of the hospital entrance.
